Harrod, Ohio

Founded in 1889, the small village of Harrod in Allen County, Ohio became famous because of the railroad. Though the railroad is long gone the small town has survived and is a great place to call home. LaFayette, Ohio

LaFayette was incorporated in 1868. LaFayette is a village in Allen County, Ohio, United States. The population is 406 as of 2020 census. It is included in the Lima, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Alger, Ohio

Established in 1882 as Jagger, named for founder Elias Jagger, but was renamed Alger after Russell A. Alger, the 20th Governor of Michigan, when it was incorporated in 1896. The village's location was chosen for its proximity to the Chicago & Atlantic Railroad and the Ada & Round Head Turnpike. In its early days, Alger was a center for onion farming in the "Scioto Marsh," which was once called the "onion capital of the world".

Westminster, Ohio

Was platted in 1834 and a post office was established in 1837, though it closed in 1944. It was later renamed Westminster after originally incorporating as Tri-City with Barber City in 1957. The area is home to the company Rudolph Foods.
